ABOUT THE PRACTICE

I have worked with children, adults and families over the past 25+ years, starting my career after college in Boston before spending several years in Connecticut while working towards my MSW.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2006. While earning my degree, I completed my internship and practicum training at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and The Child Guidance Clinic of Community Heath Alliance.

I worked as the Associate Director of Camp Starfish, which serves children with significant social, emotional, behavioral and social difficulties, until 2013 and then stayed involved with this wonderful organization as a Clinical Consultant providing consultation, training and supervision.

I have been a Child and Family Clinician at the Home for Little Wanderers' Preschool Outreach Program and have worked with Psychological Care Associates as an outpatient psychotherapist.

I enjoy utilizing my accumulated education, experience and knowledge to support clients in my own practice and hope to continue helping others on their life's journey.

My approach to therapy draws from my various experiences and training and I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is important for successful growth.

I utilize a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family systems, Trauma Informed Therapy and Play Therapy along with mindfulness and relaxation training and techniques.
